Do you love sewing, crafting, or designing? Do you enjoy sharing your creativity with others? We’re looking for warm, enthusiastic volunteers to help teach kids and teens the art of sewing at the HUB OC Community Center!
This program is designed to give young kids, living in a low income housing unit, a chance to learn valuable creative skills in a fun, supportive environment. Through sewing, they’ll not only learn how to make things with their hands, but also build confidence, patience, and pride in their creations.
We would love volunteers who can:
- Teach basic sewing skills to beginners
- Introduce kids to simple design concepts and creative expression
- Help students imagine and create their own projects
- Encourage and support young makers of all ages
No formal teaching experience is required—just a love of sewing, creativity, and working with kids! Whether you’re a seasoned seamstress, a fashion enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys crafting, your time and talents can make a meaningful difference.
Classes will be held at the HUB OC Community Center, where we’ll create a welcoming space for kids to explore their creativity, learn new skills, and discover the joy of making something with their own hands.
If you’d like to inspire the next generation of creators and help build confidence through creativity, we’d love to have you join us!
Come sew, design, create—and make a difference.
