We’re excited to invite you to be part of something truly meaningful, our upcoming Same Day Solutions Fair at the Hub OC Resource Center (HRC)!  This special event brings together over 20 dedicated vendors to provide vital services for our unhoused community members, including connections to housing and emergency shelter, haircuts, assistance obtaining vital records, low-cost cell phone services, DMV ID cards, warrant resolution, and access to homeless court attorneys.  It’s a powerful day centered on dignity, support, and real solutions.  We would love for you to be part of it.

We’re looking for volunteers to help set up the site to make the next day run smoothly. Whether you can offer a few hours or the whole time, your time and energy will directly impact the lives of those we serve. This is not only a chance to give back, but also to be part of a vibrant, compassionate effort that brings hope and help under one roof.

Join us for a fun-filled day at the beach as we support our amazing camp leaders and campers at beautiful Newport Dunes! We’re looking for enthusiastic, responsible volunteers who are ready to jump in (literally!) and help create a safe, joyful, and memorable experience for everyone.

What to Expect:
Volunteers will assist camp leaders with activities, engage with campers, and help supervise water play throughout the day. The kids will be splashing around on inflatable slides and tackling floating obstacle courses, so extra eyes and helping hands are essential.  This is a hands-on role ... yes, you’ll be getting in the water, so come ready to be active, supportive, and have fun!

Special Skills Welcome:
If you have experience as a lifeguard, swim coach, or swim instructor, we would especially love your support!

All volunteers must be 18 yrs or older.

The Youth Centers of Orange is partnering with Palmyra GATE Magnet Elementary school to help with their annual cultural event, “Taste of Palmyra,” and it is quickly approaching! This year’s celebration will take place on Friday, May 15th.

As some of you may know, this is a special time for the community to come together and celebrate the rich cultural diversity that makes Palmyra so unique. The event will feature food booths, cultural activities, raffles, and delicious drinks—there’s truly something for everyone!

To make this event a success, we need volunteers to help in the following areas:

Country Activity Team

Help run simple games or crafts related to a specific country Share basic cultural facts (notes will be provided) Hand out materials and guide younger students through activities

Buddy Helpers Team

Assist younger students with crafts, food samples, or games Help them follow directions and stay safe Walk groups to different stations when needed

Food & Serving Team

Pass out pre-portioned food samples (with adult supervision) Remind students about proper hand hygiene Keep serving areas neat and organized

Clean-Up Crew

Pick up trash and recyclables around the event area Wipe down tables and activity stations Help reset areas between groups

Safety & Support Team
